Taking a lead from the great singers of the last 100 years - Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Joni Mitchell and Norah Jones - Kate McLaren is a distinctive new voice in the music world. Accompanied by Guitarist of the Year runner-up Cris Tolley and nationally renowned double bassist Paul Smith, Kate performs material from the great American songbooks - Cole Porter, Gershwin, Ellington - alongside modern classics. Amongst other gigs, Kate and Cris are playing at Pier 39 in Sutton Coldfield every month. It's a great restaurant and with great music is well worth checking out.
